Melanie M. Wojcik

Ms. Wojcik has been practicing Workers’ Compensation Law since 2003, and has handled hundreds of trials at the Workers’ Compensation Board, with a focus on litigating controverted matters to conclusion. She is experienced at settlement negotiations, drafting Section 32 settlement agreements to resolve claims, and preparing settlement analyses.  She also led the firm’s Section 15-8(d) project in 2010, handling the investigation of Section 15-8(d) claims, with pre-trial conferences with the Special Funds.

Ms. Wojcik is currently involved in handling COVID-19 claims, providing recommendations to clients and handling litigation of controverted COVID-19 claims at the Workers’ Compensation Board, and has given several presentations regarding COVID-19 workplace claims.  In addition, she trains and mentors new associates, assisting them in learning the ins and outs of all aspects of Workers’ Compensation Law.

Ms. Wojcik is a member of the Erie County Bar Association, and is a past member of the University at Buffalo’s Human Rights Law Review, as well as a past member of the Buffalo Moot Court Board.
