Mr. Videon focuses his practice on workers’ compensation defense representing insurance carriers, third-party administrators and self-insureds. He has substantial experience in Loss Transfer recoveries, compliance with the Medicare Secondary Payer law and preparation of Medicare Set-Asides.
Prior to joining Hamberger & Weiss LLP, Mr. Videon was an intern for the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo’s Civil Legal Services Unit. Mr. Videon worked alongside veteran mentors and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in The Honorable Robert Russell’s Veterans Treatment Court.
During law school, Mr. Videon was a judicial extern for The Honorable Jay C. Zainey in United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana and served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Suzan S. Ponder in Baton Rouge City Court. Additionally, Mr. Videon was a law clerk for Liberty Mutual’s in-house counsel.
After graduating from the University of Georgia, Mr. Videon managed complex workers’ compensation claims for Liberty Mutual, formerly Wausau Insurance. Attending mediations at the behest of his dedicated accounts manifested a desire to pursue law.
Mr. Videon is a member of the New York State and Erie County Bar Associations.
